Electronic Announcements and Wedding Websites

Technology has changed the way people communicate about weddings. From Facebook and MySpace to Twitter and personal wedding websites and blogs. A lot of brides have even turned to the web for announcements. It saves time and money and is a fun way to send out save the dates and invitations without killing trees. Some popular electronic invitation sites are evite.com and pingg.com. Brides are increasingly turning to the web to get information out about their wedding details. You can announce your engagement and let friends know exactly how the planing is going. You can even start a website or a blog about your personal wedding decisions and dilemmas and ask friends to weigh in with what they think. There are a lot of sites out there that will host your website for around $30 - $80 a year (depending on what the website offers in the package). The Knot hosts one and there is Wedding Toolbox and WedQuarters along with a plethora of others. Or you can start a blog for free with a blog hosting site such as blogger.com
